Christmas Meeting
This year was the first time Local 683 held two Christmas meetings for the members. There were over 300 members
in attendance between the two meetings. Every member in attendance received a turkey and a chance to win in the raffle.

Victory at 7-Up
August 12, 2010, 17 sales employees at 7-Up joined Teamsters Local 683. The 2-1 victory
was about worker's rights and respect. We're proud to welcome the 7-Up sales force to the Teamsters. Click here for full

L.A. March 26, 2011
March 26, 2011 We will march for jobs in the streets of downtown Los Angeles. Local 683 will have buses to

Delegates Election Results
March 10, 2011 ballots for the Delegates Election were counted. The "MENDEZ 4 THE MEMBERS" Slate will
be representing the Members at the Convention. It was a decisive victory with The Mendez Slate receiving 67% of the votes. Local 683 would like to thank all the members for taking the time to vote.
Warehouse "Lumpers" Demand Respect
(Seattle, WA) On Friday, June 11, 2010, “Lumpers” at four loading companies that contract with grocery
and food service warehouses in the Puget Sound region will stage the first of five “March on the Boss" actions at 11:30 a.m. at the
Unified Grocers distribution center in Seattle to demand fair working conditions and a voice in the workplace. Click here for

UFCW GROCERY WORKERS
The union of workers at Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons canceled a contract extension with the three grocery chains
on Thursday, a move that could end in a strike this weekend in southern California. UFCW picket lines have been sanctioned by
Teamsters Loint Council 42. Please call your Business Agent for more information and to ensure your contract language allows
you to honor the picket lines.
